Dr. Vishal Chandrashekhar Ratkal is a full-time Consultant Urologist at Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital. With a total of 18 years of experience, he has dedicated 14 years to the field of urology. Dr. Ratkal holds a Residency in Urology (M.Ch) and a Residency in General Surgery (MS).

His medical career began in June 2006 as an Assistant Medical Officer in General Surgery. Prior to joining Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital, he worked in renowned hospital institutions in India and abroad.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ratkal has performed approximately 4,000 surgeries. He has a special interest in Ano-rectal surgeries such as Haemorrhoidectomy, Fissurectomy, Lateral Anal Sphincterotomy, and Anal fistulectomy. In 2018, he completed Laparoscopic Endoluminal Bariatric Surgery from the University of Strasbourg, France.

Dr. Ratkal is a Life Member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Indian Association of Gastro-Endo Surgeons (IAGES), and the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI).
