Subramanyan has been working at Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre as a full-time specialist General Surgeon since its inception in June, 2004. He has 40 years of sound experience in general surgery.

After completing his post graduation from Alappuzha Govt. Medical College, he joined the Kerala Government Health Sector as an Assistant Surgeon. His first assignment was with ESI Hospital Ernakulam in 1980.

He has worked as Surgeon in various Govt. Hospitals including District Hospital Palakkad, Taluk Hospital Thirurangadi, and Malappuram Govt. Hospital.

Ten years ago, he moved to Saudi and joined Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has attended various international conferences and CME in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Jordan and Cyprus.

He is a life member of Indian Medical Association (IMA).
