Dr. Juan Porta Medina is a full-time Consultant General Surgeon at Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital since August 2023. He holds a Spanish CCT in General and Gastrointestinal Surgery and has over 25 years of experience in general surgery.

Dr. Porta Medina has worked at Level 3 University Hospital Surgical Departments for more than two decades, specializing in all aspects of general elective and emergency surgery, with a particular focus on Colorectal Surgery since September 2023.

Dr. Porta Medina also specializes in Endocrine Surgery and has extensive experience in Surgical Gastrointestinal Oncology.

Before joining Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital, he served as a Consultant at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital. He is registered with the Spanish regulating authorities (equivalent to GMC), and Saudi Arabian Health authority.
